Who was Dr. King? Why do people today still think his words are so important? Preschoolers will work together to create a project to keep Dr. King’s dream alive while they learn cooperation and service.

Pre-visit Materials.
- What does “fair” mean? Describe some common scenarios in which students can tell you if what happened is fair or not. Examples: Gavin took all of the blocks and won’t let Liam play with them. Is this fair or unfair? Bella always shares her pop tarts with Allyson, but won’t give them to anyone else. Is this fair or unfair?
- What do you dream about? Martin Luther King had a dream about something he really wanted to happen—fairness and equality. Have students tell you what they really want.

Post-visit Activities
- Complete the 100 Acts of Kindness Challenge given to you at the workshop.
- At Circle Time, name nice things you can do to help your friends, neighbors, and families.
- Make a class list of your own “Big Words”. Remember, big doesn’t mean long, it means important.
