Annual Banquet

The Museum’s annual banquet celebrates the educational achievements of the year, and acts as a fundraiser for the Museum’s educational programs.  Museum members, supporters, and students come together at this event, which notes the milestones in the Museum’s educational programs.  The support received through this event allows the museum to continue to educate over 50,000 Iowans through statewide educational programming.

The 16th annual banquet, “Shaping Your legacy,” will be held on April 28th, 2012 from 6:00-8:30 pm at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center in Cedar Rapids.  Tickets are $45.00 each, with all proceeds benefiting the educational programs of the AAMI.

The 2012 Banquet will feature Randy A. Moore as the key-note speaker.  At the event Mr. Moore, President of Iowa American Water and Iowa Civil Rights Commissioner, will express how not only is it the legacies of Dr. M.L.K. Jr. and other national figures whom have shaped society, its also those who are not so well known.  He will explain how each and every one of us is a part of history.  Mr. Moore will inspire attendees to realize this and reflect upon how their legacy will be written and shared as history.
