WHY SUPPORT OUR MUSEUM?
In the past, lack of interest in preserving Iowa's fascinating African American history allowed irreplaceable artifacts and human stores to be lost forever. It is our mission to not only preserve that history, but to share it with everyone!

Your donation supports:

• Our staff who travel statewide to seek out and preserve this history
• Our Museum, which offers both a permanent exhibit and ever-changing temporary exhibits
• Educational programming which carries Iowa’s African American story statewide
• Our free research library offering material on all aspects of black history, as well as genealogy reference materials
• Special events, lectures and performances

All gifts are tax deductible according to the limits of the law. We provide an acknowledgement for your tax records. The African American Heritage Foundation will provide a copy of our audited financial statement upon request.
