Meet Harriet Tubman
Meet Harriet Tubman
Saturday, February 25
11:00am
“I had reasoned out in my mind, there was one of two things I had a right to, liberty or death; if I could not have one, I would have the other.”
On Saturday, February 25, famous American Harriet Tubman will walk into the African American Museum of Iowa and tell the story of her life. Born into slavery, Harriet escaped in her 20s and spent the rest of her life helping others as an Underground Railroad “conductor” and as a nurse and spy during the Civil War.
Walk-ins are welcome, but space is limited. To reserve your seat, contact Tenika at Click here to view email address or call 319-862-2101 ext. 226.
