By becoming a member of the African American Museum of Iowa, you are participating in an exciting movement to preserve and share Iowa’s rich African American heritage. Your membership enables the Museum to preserve important cultural resources, provide educational programming and tools (such as traveling exhibits), and operate the museum on a daily basis.

Membership benefits include:

Senior/Student ($25-$49) membership card, Notification of Special Events,The Iowa Griot (the Museum’s quarterly newsletter), and unlimited free admission for 1 adult.

Individual ($35-$49): membership card, Notification of Special Events,The Iowa Griot (the Museum’s quarterly newsletter), and unlimited free admission for 1 adult.

Family ($50-$99):All of the above, plus unlimited free admission for immediate family and a 10% discount in the Nikee Gift Store.

Century ($100-$199):All of the above, plus recognition on Annual Donor Plaque, invitations to special member-only events, and free admission to over 400 Museums across the U.S., through the North American Reciprocal Museums program (NARM).

Golden ($200-$399): All of the above, plus 10% off event tickets and Celebration hall rentals.

Platinum ($400+): All of the above, plus Platinum Member invitation to the Annual Directors Reception.

A membership card and welcome letter will be sent to you as soon as your new membership is processed by our staff. If you would prefer not to join electronically, you may download a printable Membership enrollment form and mail it in with your payment.
