History Maker Award

Each year, the African American Museum of Iowa honors African American women currently living in Iowa who have "made history" in our state at the Laying Claim to Our Spirit: Iowa African American Women's Leadership Conference.

The 2010 History Maker's Gala will be held at the African American Museum of Iowa on Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 6-9pm. It is a formal event that will include am evening of fellowship, celebration and live music.
